Book Reviews and a Giveaway!

I can't say enough good things about Eliza's Children. I've been meaning to read it for a long time, and I finally did! It will be on my list of top 10 books of the year. It's an adventure story, but it's a literary one.
Ellie's mother is a scientist, so she is used to being away from home for extended periods of time, even when she comes home for school breaks. This time, it's for a year, and Ellie is ready for adventure. There's just one problem: her mother has been kidnapped by a man named Ziegler, and Ellie's ready to fight to bring her back. Ellie isn't quite as ready to leave her family behind. It's a bittersweet story, and I loved every minute of it.
I just finished this book, and I can't recommend it enough! It's the story of Richard and April Robbins and their children, who were raised by a couple in foster care. This book is a sort of sequel to the movie "He's Just Not That Into You," which is not based on this book. April and Richard went on to marry, which is where the movie began. This book takes place years after the events of the movie, and I enjoyed it very much. It's a beautiful story about a beautiful family.
Have you read anything by Ransom Riggs? If not, you should! He's the author of two books, and I really liked both of them! I just reviewed the first one for Joss Whedon's The Dollhouse, and it was super good!
